Dr Bo Tan
Research Associate in passive sensing and indoor geolocation
Dr Bo Tan is Research Associate in University of Bristol, UK, Honorary Senior Research Associate in University College London, UK. He obtained a PhD degree in Digital Communications from the the University of Edinburgh, UK, in 2013. His researches include signal processing for wireless communications and radar system, modelling the power grid for data communications. He also involved in industrial/commercial activities with StarPoint on PXI system development for mobile processing, u-blox on indoor positioning and Vodafone China on mobile service/market research. He currently works on exploring the application scenarios of passive wireless sensing, include security surveillance, motion capturing, high accuracy Doppler tracking. Meanwhile, he takes responsibility on the timing based home environment positioning solution design and involves low energy wearable device development in the SPHERE project.
